Wendy Jacob RWS

I was born in Lancashire and brought up and educated in London. After leaving Hammersmith College of Art I worked as a free-lance illustrator. I have been painting and exhibiting for many years. My main interest is landscape, usually including buildings. I look for strong tonal contrast, transforming the topographical subject into a more abstract composition. Colour has become an important element in my paintings, again not necessarily representing the local colour, but expressing a mood  which enriches the meaning of the paintings.
