Peter Blake was born in 1932 in Dartford, Kent and studied at Gravesend School of Art and the Royal College of Art. He is best known among the general public for his designs for the sleeve of the Beatles Album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". Around the late 1950s, he became one of the best-known artists of the British Pop Movement.
