Paul Newland

Paul Newland was born and educated in London’s north-western suburbs and went on to the Slade.  He taught and painted, in London and the country, beginning to use watercolour in order to document street scenes and clubs in the mid-1970s.  His use of the medium was consolidated during a stay in Rome, 1975-76 and his subsequent one-man shows were predominantly of watercolours.
