Looking to start an art collection but not sure where to start? Maybe you already own a few pieces and are thinking of buying a few more? Or perhaps you've just moved into a new home and would like to decorate with a few pieces with a story to tell?
Whichever art collecting box you fit into (if any!), join us for an evening of lively discussion between esteemed collectors and art industry professionals Marjorie Allthorpe-Guyton and Tim Sayer. The pair will be sharing their experiences, anecdotes and tips relevant to all types of art collector. From what to look for, to where to look, you'll be sure to come away feeling much more confident about collecting art.


Complimentary drinks will be served from 6pm and the discussion will start promptly at 6.30pm. Artworks in 2020 Visions will be available to purchase on the night.

Marjorie Allthorpe-Guyton is an art critic who has collected and curated British art from early English watercolours to contemporary art, working as a museum curator, an editor and as National Director of Visual Arts for Arts Council England.
Tim Sayer is a former BBC journalist and art collector whose collection has been donated to The Hepworth Wakefield.
