Combine traditional painting techniques with experimental styles to create a selection of small scale artworks. Jane will encourage participants to take risks and indulge in the use of a variety of media. 

 

Some experience with watercolour useful, but not essential.

 

 

MATERIALS

Plenty of paper of varying size, thickness and texture

A selection of watercolour paints, preferably including the following: white, cadium yellow, cadium orange, alizarin (or madder or magenta), olive green, ultramarine, umber or sienne and black.

Brushes in a variety of sizes (possibly 1 or 2 chinese brushes)

Basic kitchen roll (preferably without a pattern)

Scissors

Glue stick or Pritt stick

Graphite (if you have it)

Eraser

Water jar
