Janet Golphin

ELECTED ARWS 1992 & RWS 1996

 

Janet Golphin was born in 1950 in Pontefract, Yorkshire. She was a former pupil of William Shone FRSA and William Selby RWS ROI RSA. Janet has had work exhibited at the Adam Gallery in Bath, the Century Gallery near Windsor, Example Art in Fulham, the Manor House Gallery in Chipping Norton and the South Yorkshire Gallery in Doncaster. She exhibits regularly at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the New English Art Club, the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the Royal Society of British Artists. Janet works mainly in oils and waterbased medium, and her preferred subject matter is still life and interiors. She was elected an Associate of the RWS in 1992, and is also a member of the Leeds Fine Art Club and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
