June Berry

June was born in Derbyshire and grew up in Lincolnshire. She studied painting at the Slade School of Fine Art, University of London, where she was also awarded a postgraduate year.

 

In the early 1950s June began part time teaching and exhibiting in London, and has shown regularly at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition since 1951.

 

June's work is figurative, depending on a carefully structured composition and a delight in colour. Her work is in many public and private collections in the USA, Russia, Germany and the UK.

 

June is a Royal West of England Academician, and a Member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and the New English Art Club.
