Explore the basic properties of abstraction through observation of shape, rhythm, space, mark and colour. Beginning the day along the riverside, participants will use chance and order to challenge the properties of water-based media. During the second half of the day, RWS artist John Crossley will lead you through the potential of working with cut-outs and stencils as a mechanism to develop ideas.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of ability.


This workshop will take place at The Heatherley School of Fine Art in Chelsea.
