Be bold with your creative decisions, and daring in your approach to the landscape in this 2 day workshop. Working from photographs, Sophie will demonstrate her ‘wet-on-wet’ technique, to create a series of landscape paintings, responding to different weathers.

 

Suitable for all levels of ability.

 

MATERIALS

Four sheets of full size ( A1) Archers paper in Rough or Not texture , 200 grams (lightweight), or four sheets of Saunders Waterford, in Rough or Not texture, 185 or 200 grams (lightweight). If you have your own paper different to what is listed above, please feel free to bring this. Individual sheets are preferred to pads.

A plant spray ( for wetting the paper)

Two pots for water

Kitchen towel / loo roll

Plastic plate / pallette 

Palette knife

A selection of brushes, at least one large round brush and one large flat brush, one inch or larger

Student quality paint (Cotman series) including:

Prussian blue, Indigo blue, Ultermarine blue, Cobalt blue, Cerulean blue, Cadmium yellow, Lemon yellow, Cadmium red, Burnt Sienna, Alizerin Crimson, Sepia, Chinese white
