It is with huge pride that the RWS welcomes the news of the Monarch's patronage of our Society. The RWS is one of the oldest exhibiting societies in Britain, and as such has a long and distinguished history. Watercolour painting, as represented by the Society, is one of the most distinctive elements of the cultural history of Britain, and we are thrilled at this royal recognition.
