RWS Summer School: Understanding Watercolour Paper & Brushes: with Mark Entwisle RWS

Discover how the right materials can transform your watercolour painting in this introductory workshop. You'll explore the characteristics of different watercolour papers, including hot-pressed, cold-pressed and rough surfaces, and learn how each affects the way paint behaves.

You'll also be introduced to a selection of essential brushes, from versatile round brushes to flat wash brushes, discovering how their shapes and sizes can be used to create different marks, lines and washes.
