This December, join us at RWS Gallery for Exploring Media, a new series of practical two-hour workshops exploring six different water-based media: watercolour, gouache, ink, acrylic, masking fluid and egg tempera.

Discover the creative possibilities of combining ink and watercolour in this practical workshop, exploring how drawn and painted marks can work together to create expressive, layered effects.

Through demonstrations and examples of artists working with these media, participants will explore different approaches to line, colour, texture and mark-making. Using still-life objects as inspiration, they will experiment with combining ink and watercolour through a series of studies, discovering how the two media interact and complement one another.
