Lucy Marks: Constable's Walks: RWS Gallery at Whitcomb Street

30 August - 10 September 2022 RWS Gallery
Constable’s Walks is a brand-new body of work inspired by the three walks John Constable regularly took outside Brighton, when he lived there between 1824 and 1828. The exhibition showcases over fifty new paintings in both oil and watercolour representing the beautiful coast and landscape above and around Brighton.

Lucy Marks ARWS is an award-winning landscape painter whose dynamic compositions communicate the changing energy and movement within the landscape. She regularly sketches and paints en Plein Air in both oil and watercolour.  She is frequently seen out with her pochade in the landscape, in all weathers!  Back in the studio, both the sketches and paintings are used as the basis of much larger works.
